Our History
Founder Brian Meshwork began the company in 1970 focused on the import lighting market. When he attended his first High Point Furniture Market in the early ‘90s, he saw the breadth of opportunity in expanding the range of furnishings that he could bring to new clients. Moreover, he noted the number of successful family-run businesses. With this model in mind, he convinced his wife Roz, a known trailblazer in fashion and décor, to join the company. With Roz’s style sense and Brian’s business direction, Meshwork & Company quickly expanded to represent premium brands of sought-after home furnishings and décor products. Their daughter Shelly now heads the company, directing its continued growth while maintaining its legacy of style savvy, strategic vision and outstanding relationships.
Our Team
SHELLY MESHWORK
Shelly is the daughter of former company owners Brian and Roz Meshwork. She was influenced from the start by their business savvy and love of great design. After several years working in retail sales, she joined her parents at Meshwork & Company. Following 20 years of working together, Shelly took full ownership in 2019, bringing a new focus on strategic support for customers.

STEVEN SHNEER
Steven spent many years in corporate real estate sales and credits his success to his candid communication style and long-term focus. When he and Shelly began dating 15 years ago, he accompanied her to the renowned High Point Furniture Market. Impressed by the dynamic industry, he joined Meshwork & Company, and continues to support clients with his frank, consultative approach.

KAREN STEWART
Inspired by her love of interior design, Karen has spent her entire career developing a multifaceted skillset including product design, buying, merchandising, range planning and sourcing with North American and international operations. Karen now brings a rare expertise to her customers in the home furnishings industry, merging both creative and commercial strategies.
