The company began 50 years ago importing rattan baskets from Southeast Asia to a North American market that responded with rapturous demand. Palecek eventually expanded into indoor and outdoor woven seating, as well as upholstery and lighting, maintaining its passion for traditional artisanship while creating unexpected, unforgettable furnishings.
Palecek has been chosen for collaboration with eminent brands such as the Norman Rockwell Collection and National Geographic magazine, and in 2020, founder Allan H. Palecek was inducted into The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. Now under the leadership of Allan’s son, Andrew, the company’s unwavering devotion to iconic design, ecological sustainability and ethical business practices continues.
